Filth and Wisdom

The creators of this blog are Kayla and John.

Kayla is a 19 year old high school graduate who currently works in retail, and John is an unemployed drop-out who has been an intravenous opiate user for three years. John has also been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks and clinical depression.

After a suicide attempt and a brief ending our relationship, we are currently back together.

This blog is a documentary of our lives and the consequences that opiate addiction and mental illness have on our relationship.

This photo was taken by Kayla when we went to the Longsdale Quay yesterday. I was drawing a picture of her and she was taking photos of me with her really nice camera. I really love all the photos she took that day and will probably post more later, but for now this one is enough. Dying my hair gave me a huge confidence boost. I’m finally starting to dress myself and do my hair properly. I haven’t truly taken care of my appearance in nearly a year.
