The creators of this blog are Kayla and John.

Kayla is a 19 year old high school graduate who currently works in retail, and John is an unemployed drop-out who has been an intravenous opiate user for three years. John has also been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks and clinical depression.

After a suicide attempt and a brief ending our relationship, we are currently back together.

This blog is a documentary of our lives and the consequences that opiate addiction and mental illness have on our relationship.

What does John look like? / Post a photo of yourself.

Pale, emaciated, with green eyes and medium length black hair. My arms are covered in scars, and I have cheek, nostril and septum piercings, as well as both earlobes stretched to approximately 0ga. I don’t post photos of myself online, aside from partial shots of my piercings or other parts of my body. I will never post a full photograph of my face, and any requests for photos of me will be deleted without reply.

How old is John?

Somewhere between 16 and 25. I don’t talk about my age online for personal reasons.

How did John get into opiates?

Around the age of 15 or shortly after I turned 16, I suffered a mental breakdown. I was walking down the strip in the worst part of town, hoping that someone would shoot or stab me, but instead a woman approached me and asked if I was looking for anything. With the $30 in my pocket, I asked her to get me as much heroin as she could. I fell in love with it the first time it touched my bloodstream.

Does Kayla also use opiates?
